Rides and Technology Teachers' Notes

Art and Design

Disneyland Paris offers countless opportunities for pupils to explore visual, tactile and other sensory experiences to communicate ideas and meanings.

By using the Rides and Technology Workbook in the Resort, students will appreciate and value images and artefacts across times and cultures. Through the Workbook's "Imagineering Project" students can discover:

  • The creativity seen within the resort
  • Evaluating processes - identifying and using criteria to justify the quality of other people's products
  • Knowledge and understanding of materials and components

Whilst in the Resort, students can also investigate:

  • Cultural understanding of European and American art
  • The evolution of moving pictures shown through the displays in the Art of Disney Animation® - students can even create their own works of art
  • How the design and technology behind the movies has changed over the years by visiting CinéMagique
